DSD Heavy Lift AG played an important role in the lifting and lowering operations for the installation of the lower gates at the Erlangen and Kriegenbrunn locks, which are part of the same construction group due to their identical technology, size, and capacity.

The Erlangen lock is in a green area on the western edge of the Regnitz Valley and belongs to the Erlangen-Möhrendorf-Bubenreuth water protection area. The Kriegenbrunn lock is south of Erlangen.

Both locks are being renewed due to irreparable damage to the old structures. The new construction is taking place alongside the operation of the old locks to avoid any interruption to the waterway connection and to preserve the environmentally friendly water route.

DSD Heavy Lift AG demonstrates its technical expertise impressively through the successful implementation of the lock projects. Our commitment highlights efficiency and reliability in the field of waterways and shipping infrastructure.
