Rader High Bridge A7 – Incremental Launching of the South Superstructure (Direction Flensburg)Meter by MeterThe Rader High Bridge, located east of Rendsburg, carries the A7 motorway across the Kiel Canal and the Borgstedter Enge. With a total bridge length of approximately 1'500 m, it forms part of an overall infrastructure project spanning 5.3 km and is one of the most important transport links between Germany and Scandinavia. As part of the replacement construction of the Rader High Bridge, we carried out the complete incremental launching operation of the southern superstructure of the eastern bridge section. The approximately 400 m long steel superstructure was launched into its final position using the incremental launching method. The operation was executed in four main launching stages with three defined intermediate launches. In total, seven controlled launching movements were completed – from the first stage in October 2024 to the final launch on 28 August 2025. Launching Equipment
