Dismantling and Assembly of Anode Furnaces at Aurubis TAR

As part of the Aurubis Turnaround (TAR) 2024 in Hamburg, we successfully transported large anode furnaces, steel platforms, and exhaust and extraction hoods. Using our modern self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT), we moved these heavy and large components safely and precisely within the Aurubis site.

Our experienced team worked closely with the client to ensure all transports were smooth and on time. This project shows the expertise and reliability of DSD Heavy Lift AG in handling complex transport tasks.

Key data of transported parts:

Transport of new anode furnaces:

• 1 pcs. 12-axle SPMT combination consisting of 4-axle SPMT
• 1 pcs. PPUZ100 power pack unit
• 2 pcs. furnaces approx. 115 tons each, size 9m x 5m x 6m

Transport of various steel platforms:

• 1 pcs. 8-axle SPMT combination consisting of 4-axle SPMT
• 1 pcs. PPUZ100 power pack unit
• Various steel platforms up to 6.5m wide

Transport of extraction and exhaust hoods:

• 1 pcs. 8-axle SPMT combination consisting of 4-axle SPMT
• 1 pcs. PPUZ100 power pack unit
• 2 pcs. extraction hoods approx. 30 tons, size 12m x 6m x 5m
• 2 pcs. exhaust hoods approx. 60 tons, size 8m x 4m x 6m
